Sea Cave Explorer Ocean Extreme Ride Departing Lake Macquarie

Leaving Lake Macquarie, we blast into the ocean for a 60-minute experience of surfing waves, exploring sea caves and much  more!

Not for the faint-hearted and definitely a must-do experience. On this ride, we start within Lake Macquarie before cruising out through the Swansea channel before going under the Swansea bridge and heading out to the ocean, crossing the bar. Now it’s time to get serious as we check out the surf at either Blacksmiths Beach or Caves Beach depending on weather and sea conditions, and we’ll rip it up on the waves doing our usual spins and power brake dives, riding a few waves too.

Be prepared to get wet! as we will be doing our famous spins and power brake stops. Nowhere else in New South Wales can you head into the open ocean and surf along the waves in a jet boat.

The Boat

JetBuzz promises you action-packed thrills aboard our purpose-built state-of-the-art ocean-going adventure vessel (Wild Thing), where our licensed staff will ensure your fun, enjoyment, and safety! Wild Thing was designed and built in Australia with the ocean in mind, and is designed to cut through chop, spin, and surf on waves. It’s without question one of, if not the best, jet boat adventure vessels in Australia.

Wild Thing, our  jet boat is 9.5 metres in length has a beam of 3.2 metres. It is powered by twin six-litre Cummins Turbo Diesel engines coupled to two Hamilton 292 jet propulsion units, pumping a massive 1,200 litres of water through the jets each second and delivering an awesome 530 KW (750 horsepower) to give you the adventure of a lifetime. This vessel fully loaded can reach a speed of 42 knots, more than enough to satisfy those looking for speed and an adrenaline rush.
